T.H. (Terry) Robbins, P. Eng., CD, has 35 years of progressive experience in engineering and management roles within the Canadian Armed Forces and the aviation industry. He has held increasingly senior positions within the Department of National Defence (DND), including an exchange posting with the United States Navy.
His primary experience is on helicopters, most notably the Sea King and Cormorant, though he has also worked with various fixed-wing aircraft. In recognition of his exceptional leadership in preparing Sea King helicopters for safe deployment during the liberation of Kuwait, he was awarded the Canadian Chief of the Defence Staff Commendation. Additionally, for his outstanding program management skills while working with the United States Navy, he received a Secretary of the United States Navy Commendation.
Since retiring from DND, Mr. Robbins has continued his work in engineering and program management within the commercial aviation industry. He has served as a Senior Maintenance Manager in an Accredited Maintenance Organization under DND’s Technical Airworthiness Authority and has also worked as a Design Engineer.
Mr. Robbins holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from the University of New Brunswick.
